Weekend Brunch Finder: Bistro La Bon

The weekend may only be two days, but one staple is brunch, whether you're hitting up a spot on Saturday or Sunday, brunch is a must. Luckily Charlotte is a melting pot of Brunch Spots that will please even the pickiest eater. Looking for Mimosas? Classic Breakfast food? Seafood? Or even a mix of all of those? You're sure to find a place to eat that will satisfy your cravings.

I hit up Bistro La Bon in Plaza Midwood for their Brunch Buffet on Sunday, and it was great! Of course the buffet was setup differently (thanks COVID!), but it was very serviceable. Upon arrival, you will receive a serving of mixed fruit and the menu, and of course there were drink specials.

The items are served family style, and will be based on the amount of people at the table. I ordered a cup of coffee, and my Husband had a Mimosa. The coffee cup was very large (which is a plus for me), and the Mimosa was great as well (no hangover afterwards, so that's a good sign). We started with Brioche French Toast, Shrimp & Grits, Fried Potatoes, Eggs Benedict, and Bacon, and I know that sounds like a lot, but it perfect! Living in Charlotte, you can find Shrimp & Grits almost anywhere, but the Shrimp & Grits from Bistro La Bon are very flavorful! It has a hint of spice, but not too much with Andouille Sausage, Onions, and Peppers.

So, for $23 per adult, you can have a pleasant brunch with some nice music. Keep in mind that the Brunch Buffet can get a little crowded, so I suggest coming a little early. It's well worth it!
