On the journey of finding authentic Italian restaurants in Charlotte, there have been some really good options. I enjoy great food, but I also enjoy a nice ambiance. Especially if the place has nice family vibe, that makes you feel like your sitting at the dining room table at someone's aunt's house. Mezzanotte near Cotswold definitely offers that Family vibe. The first thing that I noticed were the warm lights from the windows as we were driving past the restaurant. Next I noticed a ton of people walking in, so clearly the food is goo, right?
I looked at the Menu, and I saw some great options, including Pasta and pizza. I ordered the Veal Piccata with a side of Alfredo pasta. The Alfredo was definitely cooked with a ton of butter and a side of love. It was delicious! The Veal was also cooked very well, but the Piccata sauce had a strong lemon flavor. We did receive some baked bread with a side of white beans in olive oil, and even this was delicious. Typically I'm not a bean person, but I decided to try it and it did not disappoint.

Our waiter was also super nice and quickly put our orders in, and he even brought us a complimentary slice of Limoncello cake. It was so light, fluff, and flavorful. Overall, it was a great experience, and I truly enjoyed it. Check them out if you're in Cotswold near Providence Road.
