Pizza Chronicles: Part 2 - Rosati's Pizza Waxhaw

Chicago style pizza! All I can say is sauce, sauce, and more sauce. I traveled from Charlotte to Waxhaw to visit the only place that served Chicago style pizza in our area, so that was about a 30 minute drive each way. And if you're wondering if it's worth the drive, the answer is YES! If you don't feel like making the hike to Waxhaw, then you do have the option to get the pizza delivered through DoorDash. However, I would recommend going to the location at least once to get the pizza hot and fresh because that first bite is worth the drive alone.

Rosati's offers a variety of pizza styles, including traditional Chicago style pizza, which is more of a pizza pie than most, and because the owner is from Chicago the pizza is as authentic as can be. I selected bacon, sausage, onions, and extra cheese for my pizza, and as you can see the pizza was a doozy. Filled with flavors bursting from left to right, and every bite was amazing! I will warn you that the Chicago style pizza is VERY filling, so come with an appetite. The medium size pizza was enough for at least 2 people to eat, so unless you plan to feed a large party, I would select the smaller option.

Also, if you don't mind signing up for rewards memberships, Rosati's does offer the option to sign up for a rewards membership, which may come in handy if you plan to go often. Whether you plan to go a lot or not, I suggest trying it out because it is truly an experience. Check them out!
